Course description

Develop your ability to meet the learning needs of adults with disabilities. Through small and large group discussions and reflective exercises, you will explore instructional strategies that support and enhance the learning for those with various types of disabilities.

Learner outcomes

 Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
  • understand the need to universally design instruction.
  • learn the guiding principles of universal design for learning (UDL).
  • learn specific procedures consistent with UDL.
  • contrast those procedures with Knowles Principles of Adult learning.
  • consider the implications of Bloom's Taxonomy in supporting students/employees.
