Course description

For 4-6 year olds. A fun, foundational speech arts experience that helps young students develop a love of language and literature, confidence, and joy in communication and speech performance. Children bring poetry, stories, and picture books to life in creative reading activities, drama games, and choral and solo speaking performance. Both hesitant and confident students learn and thrive as they free their voice and develop expressive and clear speaking habits. An ideal introduction to the speech arts program and foundation for future work in Speechworks classes. Designed for children in grade one. Students are encouraged to participate in both the fall and winter semesters.
