Examine the entire employment process through a practical lens to discover how recruiting and selecting the right candidates shapes an organization's future. You will explore how to align HR recruitment and selection with overarching organizational strategies, while learning to optimize job performance using competency models. By mastering these critical stages, you will gain the skills needed to hire top talent and play a key role in your organization’s long-term success. 

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to

  • discuss how human resources recruitment and selection processes can support organizational strategies.
  • apply Canadian Human Rights legislation to recruitment practices.
  • apply internal and external recruitment methods to the hiring process.
  • discuss HR assessments and their impact on employee screening and selection.
  • explain the advantages of involving your team in the selection process.
