Recruiting and selecting the right candidate is critical to an organization’s future.  This course is a practical guide to the entire employment process.  Explore a wide range of impactful topics, from supporting organizational strategies through appropriate HR recruitment and selection to optimizing job performance using competency models. Play a key role in your organization’s long-term success by hiring the right candidate. 

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • discuss how human resources recruitment and selection processes can support organizational strategies.
  • apply Canadian Human Rights legislation to recruitment practices.
  • apply internal and external recruitment methods to the hiring process.
  • discuss HR assessments and their impact on employee screening and selection.
