Explore the fundamental changes taking place within the workplace and how this relates to the way employers relate to their employees. Acquire practical strategies for retaining your organization's greatest asset: its people.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • understand the factors affecting the current labour market and apply a framework business model that assigns cost to employee turnover.  
  • understand the issues and challenges facing employers, including identifying leadership characteristics required to impact retention of employees.  
  • comprehend effective recruitment strategies and practical implementation of these strategies.  
  • categorize effective retention strategies for organizations to improve current practice and reduce turnover and understand how to practically implement these strategies within an organizational framework.  
  • identify workforce planning and outline the concept and benefits of succession planning for an organization.
