Explore the fundamental shifts transforming the modern workplace and reshaping how employers engage with their employees. You will learn to apply a framework model to calculate the true cost of employee turnover, identify the vital leadership characteristics that directly impact retention, and acquire actionable strategies to protect and retain your organization's greatest asset: its people.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to 

  • discuss the factors affecting the current labour market and apply a framework business model that assigns cost to employee turnover.  
  • describe the issues and challenges facing employers, including identifying leadership characteristics required to impact retention of employees.  
  • explain effective recruitment strategies and practical implementation of these strategies.  
  • categorize effective retention strategies for organizations to improve current practice and reduce turnover and explain how to practically implement these strategies within an organizational framework.  
  • identify workforce planning and outline the concept and benefits of succession planning for an organization.
