Course description

Acquire best practice strategies for managing large quantities of employee data and selecting the technology most appropriate for your organization. Examine the responsibilities of HR departments in maintaining the employee information required by organizations to achieve their business objectives.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • explain how industry-leading HRIM practices provide for strategic HR thinking. 
  • discuss the background and history of the need for HRIM and respective systems. 
  • explain privacy legislation and its impact on HRIM.
  • describe the differences between system implementation and development types. 
  • explain the methodology and terms for acquisition or development of an HRIS. 
  • explain the need for successful software adoption. 
  • explain how data can be protected.
  • use Google Drive effectively.
