Course description
Explore self-identity and build self-confidence by enhancing communication skills and emphasizing problem solving in everyday life. Using an experiential approach, you will practice and apply skills individually and in small groups, covering self-esteem, trust and risk-taking, teamwork and stress management.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Increase awareness of self and self-confidence
- Acquire inter-personal, intra-personal, communication and problem solving skills
- Explore the aspects of trust and risk taking
- Practice skills for efficient teamwork
- Develop and demonstrate effective communication skills including oral competency
- Evaluate the amount of choice & control in their life and identify ways they may give up control
- Explore and utilize methods for stress management
- Gain an understanding of themselves and their actions in relation to others in the group and in a workplace environment
