Course description

Review popular styles and types of window treatments, soft furnishings, properties of fabrics, and estimating techniques. You will learn to take function, aesthetics, and budget into consideration when selecting materials. Gain experience while determining selection, installation, and cost of various treatments as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • prepare a dimensioned window elevation to scale.  
  • critique a window treatment based on function and aesthetics.  
  • estimate fabric calculation for various types of window treatments.  
  • select effective window treatments for a design solution.
