Gain an overview of project management in the workplace through this one-day introductory course. Acquire the basic tools and knowledge to overcome common challenges in project delivery. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the various approaches to project management, recognize the language of project management, and identify how project management uses models, methods, and artifacts in eight different domains.
- Apply the principles of the initiating and planning process group to the development of a project charter
- Apply the principles of the executing, monitoring, and controlling process group to the management of project issues
- Apply the principles of the closing process group to the completion of a project close-out report
