Course description

Gain an overview of the wide range of disciplines involved in the theory and practice of user experience design. Apply your new knowledge in hands-on activities and build the foundation needed to successfully complete the remaining three practical courses in this program.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the fundamental tools, practices and disciplines involved in user experience design. 
  • Explain how user experience design fits into the overall digital project ecosystem. 
  • Apply knowledge of human nature and behavior to the practice of design. 
  • Convey the purpose and value of user experience design and to distinguish it from other forms of design. 
  • Explain basic research and design tools used in the user experience design process at a beginner level. 
  • Use design and research tools to do basic design and research tasks at a beginner level. 

Notes

Students must enrol in all four courses in the User Experience (UX) Design program at the same time.

Your instructor contact info & Moodle access will be made available on/or up to 3 days before the course start date.
