Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the factors affecting the current labour market and apply a framework business model that assigns cost to employee turnover.  
  • Understand the issues and challenges facing employers, including identifying leadership characteristics required to impact retention of employee.  
  • Comprehend effective recruitment strategies and practical implementation of these strategies.  
  • Categorize effective retention strategies for organizations to improve current practice and reduce turnover. Understand how to practically implement these strategies within an organizational framework.  
  • Identify workforce planning and outline the concept and benefits of succession planning for an organization.
