Learn the characteristics of digital media and how they relate to information and site architecture. Explore navigation methods as they relate to website design and examine the steps to developing a robust site structure.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Relate the foundations of audience and purpose to website creation 
  • Describe the principles of authoring for social media and marketing 
  • Identify common social media platforms and online advertising tools

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.
