Course description

Explore the relationship between leadership and culture by examining what culture is, how it relates to the leader’s role and the link between culture and change implementation. Apply techniques and strategies using change models to minimize resistance and build a positive culture of change. Learn how exemplary leaders use their values to share their vision for a better future.  

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Explain how to embed, build and lead culture within an organization  
  • Create a vision to align and engage people to support a change initiative  
  • Analyze organizational culture and discuss the impact of various factors on success  
  • Explain how to support an organizational project or change initiative and overcome change resistance  
  • Describe ways to plan and implement change using change management models  
  • Identify areas of personal development needed to handle change more effectively
