Course description

The Junior Sinfonia is tailored for proficient string musicians aged 12-17 who have prior ensemble experience such as Concertino and/or Chamber Strings, strong reading skills, and an enthusiasm for creating music with others! 

- Ages 12-17 

-  Players in Junior Sinfonia should be playing at an intermediate to advanced level.

- Student must be able to read music - sight reading is a regular component of rehearsals

Auditions are required before registration. If you have not auditioned for the ensemble, please contact orchestras@mtroyal.ca for more information.

No rehearsals March 25, and April 22, 2025.

Dates and hours are inclusive of rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and concerts.

Instructor will communicate rehearsal and concert schedule upon acceptance to the course.

Auditions for the 2024-2025 season are now closed. Late video auditions may be considered on a case-by-case basis pending enrollment.
