Course description

Learn about documenting effective policies and procedures and how important this work is to support the regulations and quality standards related to business operations. Examine key components of structuring policies and procedures, including writing guidelines, research methods, content organization, use of active voice and presentation methods.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify and explain the difference between policies and procedures 
  • Recognize the importance of strong policies and procedures to support quality control measures 
  • Identify and describe the steps required to develop policies and procedures 
  • Construct a strong policy statement and a strong procedure 
  • Examine layout and design methods to apply to policies and procedures 
  • Identify best practices for implementation of policies and procedures
