Transportation and inventory management includes the planning, scheduling, moving and storing of materials and products.
Develop vital skills for managing the flow of goods and materials from their point of origin to their final destination. Use demand planning, production scheduling and forecasting to ensure products and materials are efficiently transported, stored and distributed. Explore how different transportation choices, inventory management techniques and warehouse design options dramatically improve customer service and reduce costs.

Courses are taught by experienced supply-chain professionals with extensive experience in a wide range of different organizations.
This program is designed for working professionals. There are no admission requirements or application processes, and courses are offered regularly throughout the year.

Effective January 2, 2025, the Supply Chain Management Extension Certificate will be suspended and the courses reorganized into three new extension certificates:
- Procurement Extension Certificate
- Transportation and Inventory Management Extension Certificate
- Supply Chain Contract Management Extension Certificate
Current students who have already completed at least one course can choose to either complete the suspended certificate or apply their coursework to any or all of the new certificates.
