Face of a classical guitar

Hone your technical skills and build proficiency performing classical guitar through weekly masterclasses, large and small ensemble performance, and receive mentorship from world class instructors.

Established in 1993, the Guitar Academy program targets enthusiastic, ambitious young players seeking a well-rounded music education. This program is designed as a supplement to the required private guitar lessons; offering a group environment in which participants may further develop their playing ability, performance skills, theoretical foundation and overall musicianship. The program’s student body includes dedicated young players as well as aspiring professionals.

Students receive access to international superstars through masterclasses and artist-in-residence programs. Some Guitar Academy alumni have continued their musical studies at renowned post-secondary institutions in Europe and North America.

Academy students receive daily access to practice studios and pianos in our world-class facility. This intensive non-credit program runs from September to May. Students who finish the program will receive a certificate of completion.
