Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to achieve project objectives and meet project requirements within specific constraints such as time and budget.

Delve into the project management process by engaging in practical activities using project management methodologies, reflecting A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Seventh Edition.

This certificate program provides essential training in the flourishing field of project management. It is designed to develop introductory management skills that can be applied to diverse sectors and industries, from IT to human resources, manufacturing to small business.

Taught by instructors who are working project managers, each of the required courses is based on concepts from the PMBOK® Guide, a widely recognized international standard in the industry.

  • This program requires A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) - Seventh Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2021, available at the Cougars Campus Store. Search by Term and Department (XPRM).
  • All of the course hours qualify as credit for the required number of hours of project management training for both the CAPM ® and PMP ® credentials.
  • We strongly recommend completion of the Introduction to Project Management course before registering in the other 5 courses.
  • We strongly recommend you complete all 6 courses before registering in the Project Management Capstone course.
  • You may complete classes interchangeably in either live, online class or online formats.
