Ensembles

Mount Royal Conservatory offers large and small instrument ensembles for musicians looking to perform and practice with peers. Groups are arranged by age and skill level with different styles of music for fun based on students' level of play and interest. This is a great option for students who aren’t comfortable or interested in performing solo.

Some ensemble programs require an audition before registration in order to be placed in the appropriate group. Please review the audition requirements by clicking into the course pages listed below.

Mount Royal Conservatory ensembles include:

Youth Ensembles

• MRU Wind Ensemble (Grades 9 - 12)
• MRU Chamber Flutes
• Senior Guitar Ensemble (RCM Grade 4 required)
• JazzYYC Youth Lab Band (Ages 14-20 years)

Adult Ensembles

• Senior Guitar Ensemble (RCM Grade 4 required)
• Adult Flute Chamber Music
