This online course is designed for English language learners at an intermediate level and above who want to improve their everyday, academic, and workplace writing.

Build a strong foundation in

  • grammar and sentence structure.
  • punctuation and capitalization.
  • using transition words and connectors.
  • organizing ideas clearly in paragraphs.
  • editing and revising for clarity and accuracy.

Through practical exercises and instructor feedback, you’ll develop the tools to write more clearly, effectively, and confidently.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • write clear, complete sentences with correct grammar and word order.
  • use punctuation and capitalization properly.
  • organize ideas into paragraphs with a topic sentence and supporting details.
  • use transition words (e.g., first, also, however) to connect ideas.
  • revise and edit their writing to improve clarity and accuracy.
  • write simple texts for everyday, school, and work-related situations.
  • understand the risks of relying on AI tools (such as ChatGPT) without a strong writing foundation.

•   This course is synchronous and conducted in a virtual classroom. Requirements: laptop/desktop computer, stable Internet connection, camera, microphone.
