Course description
This first-of-its-kind, practical course helps you build a strong foundation to become an Impact Assessment specialist and progress to higher managerial positions in the IA Regulatory and Permitting world. Gain a clear understanding of regulatory requirements, master assessment methods and reporting tools, and enhance your analytical expertise and interpersonal skills.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- apply practical tools and skills used in impact assessment.
- develop an interdisciplinary approach, blending environmental science with social science and economic forecasting.
- apply more transparency to the Impact Assessment applications.
- discuss key areas in IA, specifically project description, Indigenous and public engagement, valued components selection and measurement indicators, Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+), and mitigation measures and monitoring.
