Course description

This course covers the core concepts and most commonly used tools, menus and panels in Photoshop. You’ll learn all the basics including how to navigate the interface, effectively work with selection and editing tools, editing using layers and masks, retouching and enhancing existing images and creating your own composite images using easy-to-follow tutorials and hands-on exercises. These skills are a strong starting point for graphic design, web design, image making, advertisement design and photographic editing.

With the increasing demand for high-quality visual content, mastering Adobe Photoshop is an essential skill for any creative professional.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • demonstrate the creative capabilities of the application.
  • create and edit images using learned skills for their portfolio.
  • apply skills to real-world projects and create professional-quality graphics, logos and advertisements.
