Course description
Students are guided and supported on the job through ongoing communication with their employer and their employment specialist. Individualized job search activities and marketing are provided to students seeking new or additional work practicums.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Displays positive work ethic related to punctuality, attendance, work pride and motivation for work
- Displays ability to meet work standards regarding: quality of work, quantity of work, identifying errors, meeting hygiene and dress standards, amount of supervision needed, working independently
- Displays a positive attitude regarding: accepting routine, accepting correction, improving work after correction, asking questions appropriately
- Displays teamwork skills: respectful of supervisor, respectful of co-workers, gets along well with co-workers, relates appropriately to customers
- Displays appropriate communication/social skills; communicates needs clearly, listens to instructions attentively, follows instructions accurately, asks questions if not clear
